List Of Existing Nature-Pagan Religious Organizations

(August 1, 2025) Most Pagan organizations only exist at either the Masonic level (using emotionless written rituals) or at spiritual/mystical level (using emotion magic techniques labeled as witchcraft, new age, energy working). Yet a few organizations listed below are tentatively seeking to go beyond this by defining a Nature Pagan religion which involves adding life path contexts such as ethics and grounding from either history and/or scientific findings. Yet in my opinion all of these fall short due to a lack of accurate knowledge about history (runic texts) and physics.

Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA)

Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship (ADF) is a Pagan church based on ancient Indo-European traditions expressed through public worship, study, and fellowship.

We are a modern tradition of neopagan Druidry. Although our name is Irish, we incorporate practices from ancient and modern Indo-European cultures including the traditions of Celtic and Norse cultures, Slavic, Baltic, Greek, Roman, Persian, Vedic, and other cultures.

Our modern practices include elements from historical documents and studies along with modern components to create a practice that works for this age while respecting and honoring the past. Together, we are creating a non-sexist, anti-racist, inclusive, publicly available religion for this, and future, generations.

Founded in 1983 by a group of Druids influenced by the New Reformed Druids of North America (NRDNA) from California and New York State, we have worked to create a tradition of group and solitary practices with members around the world.

Our groves offer regular public rituals to local pagans as well as online. There are regular online rituals where solitary practitioners can gather and worship together.

Our trained clergy as well as our experienced members offer weddings, funerals, child blessings and more to their communities.

Circle Sanctuary (Midwest USA)

Founded in 1974 by Selena Fox, Circle Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Nature Spirituality church and 200-acre nature preserve dedicated to networking, community celebrations, spiritual healing and education. Circle Sanctuary sponsors gatherings and workshops at the Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve in the forested hills of southwestern Wisconsin, USA.

Our vibrant community converges at classes, Full Moon circles, seasonal sabbats, volunteer days, Sacred Fire Circles, and at our annual week-long Pagan Spirit Gathering. Covenant of the Goddess (Mostly California)

The Covenant of the Goddess is one of the largest and oldest Wiccan religious organizations. The Covenant is incorporated as a non-profit religious organization in California, though it has grown to be an international organization. It is a confederation of covens and solitaires of various traditions, who share in the worship of the Goddess and the Old Gods and subscribe to a common code of ethics. Wicca, or Witchcraft, is the most popular expression of the religious movement known as Neo-Paganism and is the fastest growing religion in the United States according to the Institute for the Study of American Religion. It’s practitioners are reviving ancient Pagan practices and beliefs of pre-Christian Europe and adapting them to contemporary life. The result is a religion that is both old and new, both traditional and creative.

In the 1970s there was a marked rise of interest in Witchcraft not only in the United States, but throughout the world, reflecting a growing feminist awareness and global concern for the environment. In the Spring of 1975, a number of Wiccan elders from diverse traditions, all sharing the idea of forming a religious organization for all practitioners of Witchcraft, gathered to draft a covenant among themselves. These representatives also drafted bylaws to administer this new organization now known as the Covenant of the Goddess. At the 1975 Summer Solstice, the bylaws were ratified by thirteen member congregations (or covens). The Covenant of the Goddess was incorporated as a nonprofit religious organization on October 31, 1975.

About UU in general

Unitarian Universalists are a group brought together by the ideals of love and equality. These are expressed in the form of 7 principles which already incorporate the 2 of the 3 nature virtues of connection/love and growth (only balance is missing):

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;

Ravenwood Tradition of English Traditional Wicca (Georgia USA)

More about Lady Sintana and the founding of this church is found in the book: Being a Pagan: Druids, Wiccans, and Witches Today by by Ellen Evert Hopman (2001). Lady Sintana certainly deserves remembrance. She died in 2010.
